The Bay Restaurant, the beating heart of the hotel, is headed up by Gavin Oakley, the creative mastermind behind nearby award-winning Wallett’s Court Country House Hotel. He brings his own brand of imagination and flair that has seen his team win recognition with entries in The Good Food Guide, a 2 rosette award in The AA Best Restaurant Guide and many other plaudits from national and international guides and in the press.

Eat in the The Bay Restaurant or on the terrace at breakfast, take lunch in the lounge by the fire in winter or in the rose garden in summer and dine in the oak-beamed Bay Restaurant in the evening. The Bay Restaurant is open for dinner every evening except on Sundays when in Summer a 'Steak & King Prawn' barbecue is fired up from 2 until 4 o'clock.

 

The Bay Restaurant has recently been awarded it's first rosette from The AA Restaurant Guide and is very popular locally and early booking is recommended to ensure a table. Any dietary requirements can be catered for so whether it is a light lunch or afternoon tea in the garden, an informal dinner or a special occasion The Bay Restaurant at The White Cliffs has something tempting to offer.

In the summer months, those of you who like to ‘graze’ will be delighted to know that great food is available all day every day with our innovative ‘Lounging Menu’ featuring anything from a full English breakfast or brunch to salads, sandwiches and Kentish Cream Teas. And when the sun is shining on a Sunday we love nothing more than throwing a steak or a prawn on the barbecue in the garden.
